High quality teaching and a well differentiated curriculum is the first step to meeting the needs of pupils with SEND. Therefore, most children’s needs are met in the classroom. However, some children may experience particular learning difficulties that require additional support, understanding or adjustments. Depending on the need these may be managed at classroom level, or involve dialogue with and/or intervention from the Inclusion Team.
